European journalists call out Estonian refusal to accredit Russian reporters

The European Federation of Journalists (EFJ) has posted an alert on the Council of Europe’s web site for the protection of media freedom after the Estonian Presidency of the EU repeatedly rejected the Rossiya Segodnya agency’s requests for accreditation.

EFJ General Secretary Ricardo Gutierrez told RIA Novosti that after the alert appeared on the website, it would be circulated among the ambassadors of all Council of Europe member states. Gutierrez also said that he expected the Council’s Secretary General Thorbjorn Jagland to invite Estonian representatives to give an explanation for the scandal.

Head of European Federation of Journalists blasts EU for refusing accreditation to Russian reporters

The Estonian Presidency of the Council of the European Union refused accreditation to three reporters from the Rossiya Segodnya international information agency who wanted to cover an informal meeting of EU foreign ministers, scheduled to take place in the Estonian capital Tallinn on September 7-8. Ricardo Gutierrez described this situation as an attack on media freedom, and Rossiya Segodnya Editor-in-Chief Margarita Simonyan thanked the head of Europe’s largest journalists’ organization for his support.

This is just the latest in a series of incidents in which Russian reporters have been subjected to discrimination and obstruction by agencies of the Estonian state. In April this year, two journalists working for Russian TV channel REN-TV were refused entry to the country at Tallinn Airport on the grounds that they did not have papers confirming the purpose of their visit. In October 2015, Estonian authorities detained and deported a crew of the All-Russian State Television and Radio Corporation without explanation, and in September 2015 Estonia refused accreditation and entry to a reporter representing the Rossiya Segodnya agency, also without giving a reason for doing so.

Eesti keeldus andmast akrediteeringut Venemaa valitsuse juhitava uudisteagentuuri Rossija Sevodnja töötajatele, kes soovisid tulla septembri alguses Tallinnas toimuvale Euroopa Liidu välisministrite mitteametlikule kohtumisele.

“Eesti ametiasutused jätavad endale õiguse mitte akrediteerida ega käsitleda meediaväljaannetena kanaleid – Rossija Sevodnja kontserni kanalid -, mille toimetused ei ole sõltumatud ja mis ei järgi head ajakirjandustava. Sama põhimõte kehtib ka Eestis läbiviidavate eesistumisürituste puhul,” ütles Eesti eesistumismeeskonna pressiesindaja teisipäeval BNS-ile.

“Eesti jaoks on meediavabadus väga oluline väärtus, mida kinnitab kõrge 12. koht Maailma pressivabaduse indeksi (World Press Freedom Index 2017) 180 riigi seas. Teeme igakülgset koostööd väljaannete ja ajakirjanikega sealhulgas ka Venemaalt, kes lähtuvad oma töös sõltumatu ajakirjanduse põhimõtetest ja väärtushinnangutest. Samas oleme vastu meediavabaduse kattevarjus vaenuliku mõjutustegevuse ja –propaganda edendamisele,” lisas eesistumisemeeskonna esindaja.

“Väärinfo- ja propagandaga seotud ohte on tõsiselt mõistmas enamus demokraatlikke riike ning neid ühendavaid institutsioone. Nii on ka Euroopa Parlament nimetanud Sputnikut oma 2016. aasta 23. novembri resolutsioonis “pseudouudisteagentuuriks”,” lisas Eesti esindaja.

Vene välisministeerium avaldas teisipäeval “hämmeldust” Eesti otsuse üle mitte anda “rahvusvahelise infoagentuuri (MIA) Rossija Sevodnja” töötajatele akrediteeringut Euroopa Liidu välisministrite 7.-8. septembri kohtumise kajastamiseks Tallinnas.

MIA Rossija Sevodnja moodustati 2013. aasta Vene presidendi Vladimir Putini korraldusega senise uudisteagentuuri RIA Novosti baasil, mis sama otsusega likvideeriti. Uus agentuur allub otse valitsusele ning selle peadirektoriks nimetati Venemaa ja Putini-meelsete esipropagandistiks peetav telesaatejuht Dmitri Kiseljov, kes määras peatoimetajaks Margarita Simonjani. Simonjan on samal ajal ka Vene propagandat edastava ingliskeelse telekanali RT peatoimetaja.

2014. aastal käivitas agentuur multimeediaplatvormi Sputnik, mida peetakse samuti Vene propaganda tööriistaks. Peaminister Jüri Ratas on lubanud, et Eesti valitsuse liikmed Sputnikule intervjuusid ei anna.

Ehitame uusi kaubanduskeskusi- wtf Hallooo!

Eestlastel on kombeks pidada end küll eurooplasteks, kuid psühholoogiliselt on neil võime  end muust maailmast eraldada.  2008 aasta finantskriisi põhjused peitusid vaid kusagil kaugete maade halbades finantsotsustes ning mull, mille ellujäämine sõltub vaid lõputust kasvust, ei puutu meisse. Kui see lõhkeb, siis kusagil kaugel  – meie majandus voogleb haldjate maailmas, paralleeluniversumis, kuigi samas täpselt samade reeglite järgi – Inimpsüühika on üks vastuolulisemaid asju maailmas!

Ja olgem ausad, enamus inimestest ei saanud üldse aru, mis toimus ning selle peale loodetakse ka täna! Ja need vähesed, kes teadsid, mis juhtuma hakkab, said sellest teenida või siis mängisid lolli, sest teadsid, et riik ( LOE:  maksumaksja) paneb niikuinii õla alla.

Ka mina ma ei ole mingi majandusinimene ja ma ei mõista veel  täielikult seda süsteemi, ega seda tohutut majandusterminoloogiat, kuid ma saan nii palju aru, et sama asi ootab meid uuesti ning lolli mängimine ei saa kesta kaua.

St. Kõik teavad, et 2008 aasta krahhi järel ei tehtud vajalikke muutusi, pandi plaaster peale (trükiti $$$ juurde) ja kõik sama läheb edasi, KÕIK teavad, et sama asi juhtub uuesti, kuid seekord on kaotused kordades suuremad.

Põhimõtteliselt samal ajal kui ilmus uudis, et Marks & Spencer pakib Eestis asjad kokku, sain teada, et Tallinnasse Ülemistele ehitatakse uut ostukeskust.

Pfff juba mina ise ei mäleta, millal viimati oma jala kusagile keskusesse tõstsin. Ma ei ole küll kunagi suurem šoppaja olnud ja mitte ainult põhjusel, et pole kunagi eriline rahaboss olnud, vaid pigem selle energia ja aja kulu pärast, mida mööda poode kolamine võtab. Kohe, kui suuremad online müügikeskonnad hakkasid normaalse hinnaga Eestisse postitama võtsin võimaluse avasüli vastu ja pole tagasi vaadanud. Ka söök tassitakse mulle rõõmsalt koju, tasuta.

Seega olen  lausa nii suures uskmatuses, et pidin ise Peterburi mntle vaatama minema, et oma silmaga üle kontrollida,  et sellist idiootsust tõepoolest tehakse.Jepp. it’s real.

Ülemiste keskuse kõrvale ehitatakse uut ostukeskust  nimega T1 : 130 000 m², sellest 55 000 m² rendipinda, (* interesting fact muide Tallinnas oli 2015a.  seisuga kaubandus- ja teeninduspinda hinnanguliselt  kokku 330 000 m², nii et mõelge ise… ) vähemalt 200 poodi, katusele tuleb vaateratas, kinod ja kohvikud ja mida kõike veel…

Seega küsimus: Teades,/ st. objekti arendajad teavad,) et OSTUKESKUSTEL ON  KOHE KOHE LÕPP, siis milline on see skeem, või ütleme (õigustus) miks sellist ettevõtmist tehakse?Teades, et sellest tuleb üks suur kummituste loss ja mitte ainult sellepärast et kõik liigub online  keskkondadesse, vaid ka puhtalt põhjusel, et inimesed ostavad  üleüldiselt järjest vähem ja vähem??? (v. on meil mingit pöörane paljunemisprogramm, millest ma midagi kuulnud ei ole)

Mind hakkas huvitama, kas selle taga on veel mingi skeem, et kuidas nad sellest ikkagi plaanivad kasu saada??? Peab ju olema?

Elu sees ei usu, et investorid panevad €70 miljonit  sisse ja loodavad, et keskus läheb käima ja hakkavad tasapisi tagasi teenima: Kaua selleks kuluks? 10 aastat? Ärge olge naiivsed – see keskus ei pea vastugi nii kaua! Ehitage parem kohe ladu, (nagu amazonil) milleks raha raisata!

Ja samas meedias räägitakse sellest ehitusest justkui kõik oleks normaalne. Oh hoo meil on juba 50% rentnikest leitud ja nii edasi, ja puistavad suust killukesi justkui olekski nende siiras kavatsus ARENDADA seda piirkonda bla bla bla bla…

Alustasin kõige loogilisemast kohast (uurides 2008 aasta krahhi tagamaid), et tõenäoliselt on tegemist püüdega hoida oma aktsia hind kõrge, näida aktiivne, tegus, mitte kaotada investorite  huvi,teha head nägu  – ühesõnaga puhuda seda sama mulli, mida ikka puhutakse, like there’s no tomorrow.

Lõpuks jõudsin ka selle artiklini, mis viib otsad kokku:

In the Oscar-winning The Big Short, Steve Carell plays the angry Wall Street outsider who predicts (and hugely profits from) the great financial crash of 2007-08. He sees sub-prime mortgages rated triple-A but which, in reality, are junk – and bets billions against the banks holding them. In real life he is Steve Eisman, he is still on Wall Street, and he is still shorting stocks he thinks are going to plummet. And while he’s tight-lipped about which ones (unless you have $1m to spare for him to manage) it is evident he has one major target in mind: continental Europe’s banks – and Italy’s are probably the worst.

Why Italy? Because, he says, the banks there are stuffed with “non-performing loans” (NPLs). That’s jargon for loans handed out to companies and households where the borrower has fallen behind with repayments, or is barely paying at all. But the Italian banks have not written off these loans as duds, he says. Instead, billions upon billions are still on the books, written down as worth about 45% to 50% of their original value.

The big problem, says Eisman, is that they are not worth anywhere near that much. In The Big Short, Eisman’s staff head to Florida to speak to the owners of newly built homes bundled up in “mortgage-backed securities” rated as AAA by the investment banks. What they find are strippers with loans against multiple homes but almost no income, the mortgages arranged by sharp-suited brokers who know they won’t be repaid, and don’t care. Visiting the housing estates that these triple-A mortgages are secured against, they find foreclosures and dereliction.

I started to look for a hotel on tripadvisor, but now the hotels in Syria are rated by how many war victims they  help during the war:

Facebook revamped its community standards

Can’t believe it was an american who invented it in the first place  ( sorry folks, on this side of the ocean no nation starts with a capital letter ).
But I guess thats the main character of the americanism is the simultaneous self invention and self destructioion.

Islam and the power of the rational argument

This text by Sheikh Estes, really makes you see Christianity as a joke (Not that  I have though of it otherways ) and the religion of Islam like a science ( or more like a chessplayer mindfucking you ).

“There are many other things that Muslims are confused about and when these people come to you, they try to open that up as a subject just like the Hijab. They try to open this up as a subject and try to ask you: “well what do you say about suicide bombers?” That’s easy.

Does Islam allow us to commit suicide? Yes or no? No. Anybody who commits suicide goes to hell forever, true or false? Absolutely true. Whether it’s from a bomb or a knife or whatever. The Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever kills himself with a knife, he will be in the hell fire stabbing himself with a knife, over and over and over.” So anybody that’s a suicide person is going to go to hell. So get that in your mind. Then they say, “yes, what about in Palestine?” Ok, this means you have conditions in the question. Have you ever been to Palestine? And the person will say, “well no.” I haven’t either. So what do you want me to talk about? Something I don’t know about. I’m not a journalist, I’m not allowed to do that!

What we want to focus on is the real thing about Islam. You asked the question about how to give them Dawah or how to justify the belief system. Islam teaches us to use what’s called the rational argument. You cannot have a rational argument with an irrational person. If somebody is stupid, can you tell him anything? You can warn him, “be careful, you’re going to get hurt,” and he’ll say, “I don’t care.” You can’t really talk to this guy. Because he’s not going to listen. “Don’t walk in the rain, you’re going to get wet.” “Why?”“ Because water is going to land on you.” “Why?” “Because gravity is going to pull it down.” “Why?!” Two more “whys” like this, and we’re done with you, right? This doesn’t make any sense. So you talk with a rational person. What’s a rational person? Which way am I pointing? Up, and this way is down. Now in our argument, if I change my mind and say this is down, and this is up, that’s irrational. It doesn’t work. No matter how you try argue. Some people will say, “well yeah but if I was on the other side of the earth and that would be up, wouldn’t it?” OK, have a nice day.

One time I was talking with a Christian, just as I entered Islam, somebody I did business with. I was telling him about Islam and about the Quran. He wasn’t even a religious person. The next time I came through that area I found that he was not in his business, his wife said he was out at his church. I said, “oh he went to church.” She said “no, he has his own church.” I said “how did get a church and he is not even religious and he doesn’t know anything.” He didn’t even know the Old from the New Testament. He didn’t even know one of the 10 commandments. She said “he found the Lord.” I didn’t even know He was lost!

So next time I came through, here he is and he is wearing his suit. He was saying things like “praise Jesus.” I said, “well OK what happen to you?” He said, “I got the Lord.” I said, “OK. Tell me about this.”“ The Lord is telling me to do this and the Lord has moved me to do so and so. I have my own church now.” I said, “but the last time I talked to you, you didn’t know anything about the Bible at all. In fact we talked about the Bible and I showed you some of the mistakes in the New Testament in the English,” etcetera. He said, “Oh, I don’t read the Bible.” I said “you don’t?” He said “no, I got the holy ghost.”

OK, now how will I have a rational argument with this man? Because no matter what I say he will say, “no the spirit leads me and I follow the spirit.” What can I do with this guy? Nothing. So I’ll leave him in his spirit. What do they call it in Arabic? Jinn. It could be spelled either way, because it could be some other spirits. I don’t know. So in this case, what can you say?

But the rational arguments; let’s look at some of the rational arguments for the belief system in Islam that Allah presents to you in the Quran. Who created this? And the people will say “Allah.” And who created so and so? Allah. Who created that? Allah. So if you already know that, why don’t you worship Him? Why don’t you believe in Allah?

Let’s take the example that we gave earlier about Ibrahim (Peace and blessings be upon him). Remember what happened when he had that incident with his people? He broke all the statues.

How about another incident which is mentioned in the Quran? When Ibrahim (Peace and blessings be upon him) went to the leader of those people and he said to them, that Allah is the one who gives life and death. This leader said, “oh watch me” and he brought some people and he ordered kill some and let some go free. He said, “see I give life and death.” So Ibrahim said to him, “my Lord is the one who makes the sun come up in east. Why don’t you make it come in the west?”

So those are logical arguments and this is the way we present Islam. Allah said it in the Quran; how can there be more than one God? Wouldn’t they be in competition with each other? It doesn’t make any sense.

And people say that God has a son. I heard a real good one on that one. OK so if God has a son, does he also have a father? Because how could Jesus have a father, which is God, but God doesn’t have a father? Where did he come from? And would he had to have a wife and get married to her or whatever? And if they said they didn’t get married, that’s even worse. You are saying something really sick. Why don’t you just say Jesus is a prophet. That’s what we believe. A miracle birth, yes. “But if he has no father doesn’t that make him God?” What? He had a mother, didn’t he? I mean, she is really doing the bigger miracle than him. Why don’t you worship Mary?

Then what about Eve? Wasn’t Eve created out of a bone from Adam? You ever heard of anybody worshipping Eve? Then what about Adam? Adam didn’t have a mother or a father, he didn’t come out of anybody, he came out of dirt, yes or no? So why don’t you worship Adam? And when you realize that, all of that is a mistake in thinking.

So these are rational arguments. That’s what you do, and you stay away from a subject of what’s going on in Kashmir, Palestine, or Iraq, because number one, you’re not going to change peoples mind about the stuff they see on the news everyday.

Don’t come out here and start talking about the conspiracy theories of 9/11. You say, “I don’t believe Muslims had anything to do with it. How did they find Mohammad and his passport at the bottom of those towers and it wasn’t even dirty. Yet those planes blew up everything and it was so hot that the building collapsed but it couldn’t burn the passport?” Don’t do that. Because that won’t help your case. You need to tell people about one thing: “La ilaha illal-Lah.” When the Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him) sent Mu’adth Ibn Jabal down to Yemen he said, “I’m sending you to the land of Ahlul-Kitab. Teach them Tawhid.” I’m sending you to the people of the book (people of the Bible), Jews and Christians, and when you get there teach them about monotheism (One God). That’s what we need to do.”
